About Reese

I studied painting, drawing, design, clay, sculpture and theory at Baltimore School for the Arts. I followed my nomadic drive and backpacked around the US for a couple of years with my sketchbooks.

I studied clay and Japanese raku with a local art teacher in Eugene Oregon where i mixed glazes in the "brewery room" and was gifted the use of a homemade kiln in the back yard.  I was completely mesmerized by the ancient Raku techniques, using the four elements of wind, fire, water and earth to create such beauty.

I am from Baltimore and have since lived in Oregon, Washington state, New York City, Hawaii and now have my home base studio in northern California.

I had the honor of teaching a “mural with a message” Design class with Hands Of Peace Youth. hands of peace develops leadership skills among Palestinian, Israeli and American young adults supporting ongoing leadership development.. ‘We believe in the same freedoms for all people, including freedom of movement, freedom from fear, freedom from violence and freedom from oppression.” -hands of peace
